How dare Toni Kroos and Real Madrid celebrate victory? Think of Man City and Liverpool

It’s classless of Toni Kroos to laugh at the absurdity of football; he was probably still wearing that t-shirt too, sending a message to Liverpool…

We all like clicks. They pay the bills. But this – on the Mirror website – is absolutely sh*t and they absolutely know it:

‘Toni Kroos mocks Man City after Champions League exit – “a f****** joke!”‘

They are more than happy to give you the impression that Kroos has called Manchester City “a f****** joke”. Actually, it’s not even an impression; that’s pretty much what that headline says. They say ‘Kroos mocks Man City’ and the truth is that he doesn’t. He should sue. If he were Martin O’Neill, he would.

‘Toni Kroos couldn’t help himself from laughing at Manchester City’s remarkable collapse in the dying minutes of a dramatic Champions League semi-final against his Real Madrid.’

Well he could. Because he did. What he was clearly ‘laughing’ at (with the use of emojis) was the absurdity of this Real Madrid side.

‘The German midfield maestro simply tweeted four laughing emojis at the Citizens’ expense…’

Some of that sentence is true.

‘…and then added on Instagram : “This team is a f****** joke.”‘

Odd that the Mirror don’t include said Instagram post in a story entirely about this Instagram post. Well, not odd when you see it…

Still think he was mocking Manchester City?

But why worry about the truth when there are clicks to be garnered from giggling fans of Liverpool and Manchester United?
