San Antonio FC's Jordan Farr, Fabien Garcia Named to USL Championship Team of the Week

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio FC defenders Mitchell Taintor and Fabien Garcia, and midfielders Nicky Hernandez and PC have all been named to the USL Championship Team of the Week. The honors come after SAFC defeated Monterey Bay F.C. 6-0 on Saturday, the fourth-straight shutout and highest scoring night in club history.

Hernandez scored and assisted in his first start with San Antonio FC, after being acquired on loan from FC Dallas on April 13. Hernandez completed 73.7% of his passes, completing two successful crosses and making two tackles.

Garcia earns a spot on the Team of the Week for the third week in a row, after assisting and contributing to another clean sheet. Garcia posted three clearances, a tackle and four interceptions while starting at centerback. Offensively, Garcia completed four crosses and created three chances.

Taintor lands on the team of the week for the third time this season, after scoring his second goal of the year. Taintor joined Garcia in helping hold the clean sheet, making five clearances and intercepting four passes.

PC makes it onto the Team of the Week bench for the first time this season, scoring his first goal of the season and creating three chances.

The four players earning honors mark a club best for the season, and make four-straight weeks with a player earning the recognition.

San Antonio FC next plays on the road on Saturday, May 7 against Phoenix Rising FC at 9:30 p.m. CT. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
