INDIANAPOLIS – Indy Eleven announced today that defender Karl Ouimette has been loaned to fellow USL Championship side Detroit City FC in a transaction that is effective immediately and will run for the remainder of 2022 Championship season.
“Karl has been a great servant to this club for the past few years and has earned my respect as a good pro and a top human being,” said Indy Eleven Head Coach Mark Lowry. “We all mutually agreed that it would be a good time for Karl to go and get some games to continue moving his career in the right direction. We wish him nothing but great luck and success in the future.”
Ouimette has made three appearances for Indy Eleven in 2022, with two coming in regular season action and one in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup play. Those contributed to his 108 overall appearances for Indiana’s Team since joining the squad in 2018, which places him second in the club’s annals in the category. The Quebec native is one of three players in Indy Eleven’s nine-year ledger to play in five seasons with the club, joining Ayoze and Brad Ring on that short list.

Indy Eleven (4W-2L-2D, 14 pts., 4th place in Eastern Conference) is enjoying a rare bye week before it takes its four-game win streak and six-game undefeated run south next Saturday, May 14, to take on Memphis 901 FC (8:00 p.m. ET kick, live on ESPN+).
