Newcastle plot ambitious swoop for departing PSG keeper Keylor Navas; two more clubs in pursuit

Newcastle United are preparing to make an ambitious move for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas, according to a report.

The Costa Rica international has made 23 appearances for PSG in all competitions this term. He came up against Manchester City in the Champions League, although the French outfit lost 2-1 away from home.

They are lagging behind Milan, Inter and Napoli in Serie A this term. Due to this, manager Max Allegri is keen to engineer a rebuild.

Navas is one of the players he has set his sights on. The veteran could be taken to Turin as a replacement for Wojciech Szczesny.

Making up the transfer race is Spanish team Sevilla. Morocco international Bono is their current number one.
