Man City have reportedly come to an agreement with Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland over a summer transfer.

The 21-year-old has scored 25 goals in 26 games across all competitions this season.

He is one of the most sought after strikers in world football and will be available for £63m in the summer when a release clause becomes active.

Man Utd, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool and Man City have all been linked with the Norwegian international.

According to the Daily Mail, City have made a ‘significant step’ in their pursuit of Haaland after agreeing terms worth over £500,000 per week with his representatives.

This deal would make the young striker the highest-paid player in the Premier League, with a five-year deal expected to be sealed ‘in the next week or so’.

His father, Alf-Inge, played for City and has been involved in negotiations.

£63m for a player of Haaland’s calibre is seen as a steal in the current market and will definitely not be a stumbling block for the Premier League champions.

It was reported on Monday that the Citizens are ‘increasingly confident’ of landing the Borussia Dortmund talisman.

Speaking to Sport and Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona legend Dani Alves insisted that he would choose PSG’s Kylian Mbappe over Haaland.
