Man Utd aim to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio this summer and are willing to pay big money, according to reports.

The Serbian enforcer has been in great form this season, registering nine goals and 10 assists in 41 matches so far.

Manchester United officials are hoping to bolster their midfield ready for the arrival of new manager Erik ten Hag – and Milinkovic-Savic is a top target.

According to Sport Witness, who cite reports in Italy, United have ‘serious’ interest in the 27-year-old and are ready to ‘knock on Lazio’s door’ for him.

They will put a bid worth £59m on the table once the summer transfer window gets underway and are confident this will be sufficient to complete a deal.

Milinkovic-Savic is yet to experience the Premier League and is likely to be attracted by the proposal from United. However, he will also receive offers from four more European giants in the summer.
