Thomas Tuchel has batted away any suggestions over a move to Manchester United at the end of the season and claimed he has ‘plenty of reasons’ to stay at Chelsea.

The German’s potential availability caught the football world unawares but is now a possibility given the crippling sanctions placed on Chelsea over owner Roman Abramovich’s ties to Vladimir Putin and the war in Ukraine. 

While Chelsea strive to find a new owner as quickly as possible, with final bids for the Blues from interested parties to be entered by Friday, other top-flight clubs are poised to take advantage of any financial repercussions that could see players, or even the manager, seek to leave.

Manchester United are monitoring Tuchel as the long-term replacement for Ralf Rangnick 

Manchester United now have Tuchel in their sights, alongside long-term potential suitors Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag, but neither have the star power or trophy haul to match the German.

However, at his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup quarter-final against Middlesbrough, Tuchel abruptly shut down any talk of a switch to Old Trafford.
