COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 22 Ohio State (5-0-2, 1-0-0) remained undefeated while earning its first Big Ten Conference win of the season with a 2-1 victory over No. 15 Indiana (3-2-1, 0-1-0) Sunday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
How it Happened
Xavier Green scored for the second time this season and for the eighth time in his career to give the Buckeyes the 1-0 lead in the 20th minute. Ohio State added a goal in the 44th minute when freshman Luciano Pechota found the lower left corner of the net to send the Buckeyes to the half leading 2-0.

Pechota’s goal was the first of his career. Deylen Vellios and Tanner Creech assisted on the goal. It was Vellios’ second career assist with Creech earning his first point as a Buckeye.

Indiana closed the gap with a goal in the 72nd minute by Herbert Endeley but big saves late by defender Nathan Demian and keeper Max Trejo kept the Buckeyes up by one for the win.
