How it Happened

Xavier Green scored for the second time this season and for the eighth time in his career to give the Buckeyes the 1-0 lead in the 20th minute. Ohio State added a goal in the 44th minute when freshman Luciano Pechota found the lower left corner of the net to send the Buckeyes to the half leading 2-0.

Pechota’s goal was the first of his career. Deylen Vellios and Tanner Creech assisted on the goal. It was Vellios’ second career assist with Creech earning his first point as a Buckeye.

Indiana closed the gap with a goal in the 72nd minute by Herbert Endeley but big saves late by defender Nathan Demian and keeper Max Trejo kept the Buckeyes up by one for the win.
