Dawgs Post 2-1 Win Over Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Washington men’s soccer opened the road trip with a 2-1 victory at Air Force on Sunday night. The Huskies improve to 2-1-1 on the season.

Dating back to the 2019 season, the Huskies are 27-7-8 in road contests.

As a team, UW took 19 shots with 11 coming on goal to force 10 saves for the Air Force keeper.

 

Washington applied the pressure early with five shots (four on goal) in the first 22 minutes.

 

The Huskies continued to apply the pressure to force a corner in the 41st minute. Chris Meyers sent the ball into the box, and Charlie Kosakoff was credited with his second goal of the season for the 1-0 lead right before the half.

 

Zach Ramsey doubled the lead with his first career goal in the 57th minute off the assist by Kosakoff. It is Ramsey’s third career point after his assist on Thursday night against No. 9 Denver.

 

 
Kosakoff’s three points marked a career-high for the sophomore. Jadon Bowton matched a career-high with four saves on the evening.
 
Up next, the Huskies travel to San Diego on Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT and streaming on ESPN+.
