NYCFC vs New York Red Bulls: Preview, predictions and lineups

Maxi Moralez remains out through injury

The latest installment of the Hudson River Derby is on the horizon with NYCFC playing host to New York Red Bulls this weekend at Citi Field.

Both sides are pushing for playoff spots this fall after 13 matches played so far in MLS regular season action. NYCFC have rebounded after a difficult start to the campaign with five wins out of their last six matches played, with Nick Cushing looking to guide his side to the playoffs.

On the other side, the visiting Red Bulls managed to get the sour taste of defeat out of their mouths with their recent triumph over New England Revolution. Sandro Schwarz’s side managed to get back in the win column following their crushing 6-2 defeat to Inter Miami and Lionel Messi while also claiming three points over DC United Wednesday night.

Here’s 90min’s guide to the 28th MLS Hudson River Derby in NYCFC vs New York Red Bulls.
