RENTON, WASH. – Tacoma Defiance (4-2-1, 14 points) hits the road to take on Cascadia rival Timbers2 (2-3-3, 10 points) on Friday, May 10 at Providence Park (7:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV).
Tacoma had week off from MLS NEXT Pro action following a 3-2 win over The Town FC on April 25. Midfielder Faysal Bettache recorded a goal and two assists in the contest, and now leads the team with four goals this season.
The two sides met twice in 2023, a 1-1 draw on August 5 that saw Defiance win the ensuing shootout and a 4-0 Tacoma win on September 4.
Following Friday’s match, Defiance faces Minnesota United 2 on Sunday, May 19 at the National Sports Center Stadium (12:00 p.m. PT / MLSNEXTPro.com).
