Carolina Core FC News Release
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Carolina Core FC today announced that the club has signed midfielder Santiago Cambindo to a contract for the 2024 season.
Cambindo, 20, joins the club after spending the previous season with the Houston Dynamo U20’s. The Colombian midfielder looks to forward his continuing his development with Carolina Core FC in its inaugural season.
“Santiago is a physical midfielder with good technical skills who can see the field very well,” said Head Coach Roy Lassiter. “He’s calm in tight spaces and has an overall good view of the field.”
The Tolima local joins CCFC in its inaugural season, hoping to bring valuable experience from MLS NEXT Pro. Cambindo is very astute defensively in the midfield, with the presence to make a difference and change the game.
“We’re looking forward to seeing his progress with the team as he develops into his role in the midfield,” remarked Lassiter.
