April 22, 2024 – Canadian Premier League (CPL)
Vancouver FC News Release

Langley, BC – Vancouver will take on Cavalry FC in a Canadian Championship clash tomorrow, April 23 at 6 p.m. PT at ATCO Field.

Staying at the Top: VFC earned their second consecutive win of 2024 and continued their home winning streak against HFX in their last match. The night featured Rocco Romeo’s first goal for the Eagles and a collective effort to register the first clean sheet of the season. Vancouver now has six different goal scorers who have opened their accounts for the 2024 season in just two games, which is already half as many as VFC had last year.

Centurion x2: VFC’s Ben Fisk made his 100 th CPL appearance in all competitions in his second match with his hometown team. Now Callum Irving is up next for the Centurion title if he makes an appearance in tomorrow’s Canadian Championship clash.

Canadian Championship Motivated: This year will be VFC’s second attempt at the Voyageurs Cup having been knocked out in the first round of the competition last year. There is extra motivation to advance this year because a victory against Cavalry would mean VFC would take on the Whitecaps in the first Vancouver derby in history.
