Seattle currently sits in 12th place in the Western Conference with six points, while Vancouver is tied for second place with 13 points. Whitecaps FC is most recently coming off a 3-1 home loss to the LA Galaxy last weekend.

Saturday’s match marks the first of Seattle’s 2024 Cascadia Cup fixtures. The Cascadia Cup is a regional competition between Seattle, Vancouver and the Portland Timbers, beginning in 2004 when all three clubs competed in the USL First Division.

Seattle and Vancouver have faced off 151 times dating back to 1974 when both teams played in the North American Soccer League. Seattle leads the all-time series 73-52-26. This season marks both clubs’ 50th anniversaries.

Following Saturday’s matchup, Seattle hits the road for a two-match road swing, playing D.C.
