ATLANTA – Atlanta United will host Charlotte Independence (USL League One) in the Round of 32 of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on May 7 at Fifth Third Stadium in Kennesaw, Georgia, as the draw was conducted by U.S. Soccer today for the Round of 32 and Round of 16. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and the match will be streamed at usopencup.com.
Presale access for Season Ticket Members will begin on Friday, April 19 at 12 p.m. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Monday, April 22 at 10 a.m., should inventory remain following the presale access. For more information go to www.atlutd.com/tickets.
Atlanta was placed into the Alonso Division, named after four-time Open Cup champion and former Atlanta United player Ozzie Alonso, alongside Charlotte, Charleston Battery (USL Championship) and South Georgia Tormenta FC (USL League One). If Atlanta wins its Round of 32 match, it will travel to the winner of the Charleston vs. South Georgia Tormenta match for the Round of 16, which will be played May 21-22. Atlanta United returns to action Saturday, April 20 when it hosts FC Cincinnati at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET, MLS Season Pass, 92.9 The Game, La Mejor) in MLS Regular Season play. All Atlanta United MLS matches are available with an MLS Season Pass subscription, located on the Apple TV app.
