Columbus Crew SC News Release

COLUMBUS – As announced by Concacaf today, the Columbus Crew are hosting the first leg of the Concacaf Champions Cup Semifinals against LIGA MX’s CF Monterrey at Lower.com Field on Wednesday, April 24 at 8:15 p.m. ET. Tickets for the home match are currently available here.

The second leg of the series will be played at 10:15 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 1 at the Estadio BBVA in Guadalupe, Nuevo León, Mexico.

Black & Gold supporters will continue to play a pivotal role in the matchup as the Crew are one series away from reaching the final on June 2. As the only MLS team remaining in the tournament, the Club could become the second MLS side to win Concacaf Champions Cup (Seattle Sounders FC in 2022) and earn the right to compete against the top teams throughout the globe in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States.

With the win against Tigres UANL on April 9th at Estadio Universitario in San Nicolás de los Garza, Mexico, the Crew advanced to the Concacaf Champions Cup Semifinals for the first time in Club history. The Black & Gold became the first MLS team in the tournament’s history to eliminate a LIGA MX club after hosting and not winning the first leg of the series, as well as the first to win a penalty shootout against a LIGA MX side in Mexico.

Currently, the Black & Gold are undefeated (1-0-3) in regulation through their first four 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup matches and are unbeaten in their past 10 home matches in the international tournament, dating back to September 2009. The Crew possess an active 22-match unbeaten streak at home (16-0-6) across all competitions.
