HOUSTON – The Houston Dash will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their inaugural match on April 12 when they host the Washington Spirit at Shell Energy Stadium. The Dash will also host 10 events throughout the city prior to the match on April 12 in anticipation of the 10th anniversary.

Dash fans can visit Tiny’s Milk & Cookies in West University through April 12 for special Dash cookies that celebrate 10 campaigns in the NWSL. Dash fans can meet Yuki Nagasato on Saturday, April 6 at the Verizon store on 1122 Fry Road from 1-2 p.m. CT. Additional events include a pop-up at Frost Town Brewing on April 10 and a Cascarita tournament at the Grayson Community Center on April 11, for additional information click HERE. Festivities on game day begin with “Orange Avenue” on the west side of the stadium with live music from Clutch City Band, food trucks and yard games. The team will also host a birthday bash before the game for children 12 and under that were born in April. They will receive a birthday T-shirt, cupcakes and meet Diesel prior to the match. The team will host a pregame ceremony for Kealia Watt on April 12, who returns to Houston and makes her debut as a sideline analyst for Prime Video, with coverage beginning at 8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT. Watt was the first player selected by the Dash in the NWSL Draft and played for the team from 2014-2019. She scored 28 goals and tallied 16 assists for the team and was named to the NWSL Best XI in 2016.

Pregame festivities include a recognition for Dash captain Jane Campbell, who earned her 150th start in the home opener on March 23. She is the first goalkeeper to reach that mark with one club. Campbell is coming off a record-breaking campaign in 2023 where she was also named the NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year and named to the NWSL Best XI.

The Dash will host an on-field recognition at halftime for season members that have supported the team since 2014. They will be joined by Brittany Bock, one of the first captains of the team and the first player selected by the Dash in the NWSL expansion draft. Fans are also invited to join the team for a commemorative photo with the team after the match.
