Bay FC News Release

SAN FRANCISCO – Bay FC, the new women’s professional soccer franchise representing the Bay Area in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), today announced that Sixth Street, the club’s lead investor, has signed on as a founding kit sponsor.

The Sixth Street brand will appear on the back of the players kits during the club’s inaugural 2024 season. Sixth Street joins Sutter Health and Visa as current jersey sponsors with Sutter Health the front-of-kit sponsor and Visa as a jersey sleeve sponsor.

“We want to thank the entire team at Sixth Street for their partnership and commitment to Bay FC,” said Bay FC CEO Brady Stewart. “Beginning with the record-setting investment that got us started, Sixth Street has had our back. They share our vision for building a global sports franchise, and we’re proud to have such a supportive and enthusiastic force behind us as we embark on our first season.”

Sixth Street is a global investment firm founded in San Francisco with over 600 team members operating around the world. Last year in co-founding Bay FC, Sixth Street led the largest institutional investment ever made in a women’s professional sports franchise.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the support the Bay Area community has shown Bay FC in its young life, and, on behalf of every member of the Sixth Street team, we wanted to show ours too,” said Sixth Street CEO and Co-Chair of Bay FC Alan Waxman. “Sixth Street is all about bringing different people and ideas together and working as a team to create and build great things. Bay FC is a club that is going to make the entire Bay Area proud. Game on.”

The sponsorship agreement is separate from Sixth Street’s investment in Bay FC. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Bay FC will host its inaugural match against the Houston Dash tonight, Saturday, March 30 at PayPal Park in San Jose. Tickets are sold out for Bay FC’s inaugural home match, but verified resale tickets may be available on Ticketmaster.
