ATLANTA – Atlanta United returns to action Sunday as the club hosts Chicago Fire at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The match is set to kick-off at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, FOX and FOX Deportes, while fans can also tune-in to radio calls on 92.9 The Game, SiriusXM and La Mejor.

Atlanta holds an all-time record of 7-4-2 against Chicago in MLS play: 6-0-0 at home and 1-4-2 on the road. Atlanta has scored the first goal in all six home victories, including a goal within the first 15 minutes in five of the six matches. This is the first of two meetings between the teams in 2024 as Atlanta will travel to Chicago on April 27.

Atlanta’s passing and crossing accuracy is among the best in MLS entering the weekend. Atlanta ranks second in both team passing accuracy (87.5%) and crossing accuracy (43.33%) in MLS, trailing Columbus Crew (88.2%) and FC Cincinnati (45.17%).

Giorgos Giakoumakis is currently tied for third in the MLS Golden Boot race with four goals scored in three matches played, trailing LA Galaxy’s Dejan Jovelic and New York’s Lewis Morgan with five each.

Atlanta also ranks second in MLS in team distance covered per match with an average of 74.7 miles per match, trailing only Colorado at 75.0 miles per match. According to Sportec Solutions, Atlanta ranks in the top-five in multiple running statistics per match including distance covered, sprints and intensive runs.
