FRESNO, CA – In tonight’s USL League One matchup, Central Valley Fuego FC faced off against Forward Madison FC in a game that ultimately ended with a decisive victory for Forward Madison, with a scoreline of Central Valley Fuego FC 0 – 3 Forward Madison FC at full-time.
Throughout the game, there were notable attempts from both sides to make an impact. Central Valley Fuego FC’s S. John-Brown made significant efforts, attempting a total of 4 shots, marking one of the highest shot totals for a Central Valley Fuego FC player in the USL League One this season.
However, Central Valley Fuego FC struggled to find the back of the net, failing to score in this match. This marks the second time this season that Central Valley Fuego FC has been unable to score, with only Northern Colorado and Lexington experiencing similar difficulties more frequently in the league.
The game took a turn for the worse for Central Valley Fuego FC when J. Carrera received a red card at the 60:23 mark. This marked Central Valley Fuego FC’s first red card since August 10th, 2023, when they faced Tormenta.
Reflecting on the match, players from Central Valley Fuego FC expressed disappointment. Ashkanov Apollon emphasized the team’s need to improve intensity, as he stated: “Super disappointed. We lost the game in the first half. Our intensity wasn’t good enough. We have to get back on the training ground and prepare for the next game. That was unacceptable of us, but that’s part of the game.”
