Washington, D.C. – The Washington Spirit will host iconic hip-hop dance crew, JABBAWOCKEEZ, at the team’s home opener on Saturday, March 23, the club announced today. The performance by the JABBAWOCKEEZ marks the biggest and most memorable halftime entertainment in Spirit history. Additionally, the hit local 90s cover band, White Ford Bronco, will kick off the entertainment prior to the match on the Spirit Stage. These moments amplify owner Michele Kang’s vision of building the most preeminent sports organization in the world.

“We want to create unparalleled entertainment experiences for our fans,” said Donielle White Spirit’s Head of Fan Experience. “It’s exciting to start the season with these two memorable performances.”

The JABBAWOCKEEZ have performed across the United States and across the world since exploding onto the scene 16 years ago. On top of international tours, the crew held residencies in Las Vegas and performed at high-profile events such as the NBA Finals and NFL Pro Bowl.

A limited meet and greet with JABBAWOCKEEZ is available for fans during the second half of Saturday’s match. Participants must have a ticket to Saturday’s match and can RSVP here.

Displaying their tremendous athleticism and ability to synchronize movement, the JABBAWOCKEEZ rose to prominence in 2007 following its electrifying appearance on the hit television series, America’s Got Talent, and after winning MTV’s Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew in early 2008.

The crew is known for its trademark plain white masks and gloves in addition to its impressive choreography. According to the group, their signature attire is used “to guide the audience’s attention away from individual identities and towards a unified group.”

Performing before kickoff, White Ford Bronco is self-described as “Washington, D.C.’s All-90s band.” The five-member cover band is known for its renditions of hit ’90s music and has gained popularity along the east coast, performing for crowds from Richmond, Virginia to New York and earning them national recognition from outlets such as the Washington Post.

The 2024 season will be the biggest yet for the Washington Spirit. On the pitch, the club brought in exciting new players to complement its already star-studded roster and is anticipating the arrival of world-renowned new Head Coach Jonatan Giráldez from Barcelona.
