LAFC2 Announce 2024 Season Roster

LAFC2 today announced its roster ahead of the start of the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season which kicks off on Sunday, March 17 vs. Minnesota United 2 at 1 p.m. PT. (MLS Season Pass on Apple TV)

After a successful partnership for its inaugural season, LAFC2 will once again play all home matches at Titan Stadium on the campus of California State University, Fullerton. The University’s Titans Sports Network, which gives students hands-on experience in sports broadcast media, will assist on broadcast production of LAFC2 matches on Apple TV for the 2024 season.

The LAFC2 roster features 13 players signed to MLS NEXT Pro contracts, which includes the return of forward Leonardo Flores, midfielders Christopher Jaime and Bryan Moyado, and defenders Tommy Musto, Diego Rosales, and Josh Santiago. Additions to the roster from the LAFC Academy include midfielders Adrian Wibowo, DeCarlo Guerra and defenders Luca Bombino and Javen Romero.

The roster also includes LAFC2’s newest signings, goalkeeper David Ochoa and forward Luis Müller, and defender Thabo Nare.

Ochoa, 23, joins LAFC2 after spending the 2022-23 season with Liga MX Side Atletico San Luis where he made eight combined appearances with the first team and U20 squad.

A native of Oxnard, California, Ochoa has made 35 career MLS appearances in MLS with Real Salt Lake and D.C. United from 2019-2022. A dual United States and Mexican citizen, he has played for the Mexican National Team at the U-21 level and made 15 total appearances for the U.S. National Team from the U-16 to U-23 levels.

Müller, 23, joins LAFC2 from Cal Baptist University where he made 69 appearances and scored 26 goals and 19 assists in four seasons from 2020-2023. A native of Cottbus, Germany, Müller played in the youth programs of FC Energie Cottbus, FC Köln and FC Viktoria Köln.

Nare, 20, joins LAFC2 after spending the 2023 MLS Next Pro season with North Texas SC. Nare began his career playing for youth clubs in his hometown of Cary, North Carolina before moving to Spain, where he continued developing with various semi-professional clubs.

The LAFC2 roster on gamedays will also include players from the LAFC first team and may feature select LAFC Academy players. All international signings will be added to the roster pending receipt of their International Transfer Certificate and P1 Visa.
