TAMPA, Fla. – The United Soccer League announced today a multi-year partnership with Tiger Balm, the world’s leading topical analgesic remedy. The partnership includes the USL Championship, League One, and the USL’s pre-professional leagues.
“USL continues to align with global, industry-leading brands, with Tiger Balm joining during the 2024 season kickoff,” said USL SVP of Corporate Development and Partnerships Josh Keller. “We look forward to working with Tiger Balm’s trusted industry-leading products to elevate the player experience and celebrate successful comeback journeys across the USL.”
In 2024, Tiger Balm will also be the presenting partner for the Comeback Player of the Year for the USL Championship and League One. The award, initially introduced in 2022, highlights players that overcame injuries or adversity in the season prior and achieved success during the current regular season. The award is voted on by USL national media, local media within USL markers and the USL Technical Committee. As the accolade returns this season, fans will now have the opportunity to help select the winner. Further details on the fan vote will be shared later in the year.
Tiger Balm product will be distributed and made available to Championship and League One clubs for trainers to use to help athletes’ manager their pain throughout the season. Additionally, Tiger Balm will be made available to pre-professional players and fans as the brand hosts numerous product sampling opportunities across the USL ecosystem during the season.
