MESQUITE, Texas – Texas Outlaws win 9-6 against the Dallas Sidekicks at Mesquite Arena in Mesquite, Texas. The Outlaws are now 10-9-1 and the Flash are 2-15-0.
The first quarter of the game at Mesquite Arena started with a goal in the 2nd minute, scored by Julio Varela, assisted by Vini Dantas. Outlaws scored again in the 3rd minute, scored by Outlaws Captain, David Ortiz. The Sidekicks got on the board in the 4th minute, goal scored by Anthony Powell. Blas Perez evened the scored for the Sidekicks in the 10th minute, but was quickly countered by a goal from Vini Dantas to give the Outlaws the lead once again. Brenden Lee added another goal for the Outlaws in the 11th minute, assisted by Uzi Tayou. The Outlaws up 4-2 going into the second quarter. Jamie Lovegrove scored for the Sidekicks in the 4th minute of the second quarter. Oscar Romero scored another goal for the Sidekicks in the 7th minute to tie the game at 4. In the 8th minute, Julio Varela got his second goal of the night, assisted by Vini Dantas. Erik Macias scored for the Outlaws in the 14th minute, assisted by David Ortiz. Outlaws up 6-4 going into the second half.
In the third quarter, Stephen Gonzales was issued a blue card for the Outlaws for boarding in the 2nd minute. Once back at even strength, the Sidekicks scored with a goal from Gustavo Piedra, the only goal scored in the third quarter. In the first 40 seconds of the fourth quarter, Sebastian Mendez scored for the Outlaws, assisted by David Ortiz. Vini Dantas scored in the 3rd minute for the Outlaws. In the 10th minute, Uzi Tayou scored, assisted by David Ortiz in an empty net during a Sidekicks 6th attacker. In the 13th minute, Blas Perez scored his second goal for the Sidekicks. Outlaws winning 9-6.
The Texas Outlaws will be taking on the Tacoma Stars for Military/Veteran Appreciation on March 9th at Mesquite Arena. Kick off for the game is 7:05 pm CT.
