HOUSTON – Concacaf announced earlier today that Houston Dynamo FC will host the Columbus Crew at 7 p.m. CT on Wednesday, March 6 in the first leg of the Round of 16 series of the Concacaf Champions Cup.


The Dynamo advanced to the Round of 16 after defeating St. Louis CITY SC in Round One of the tournament. Defender Erik Sviatchenko scored the lone goal in Houston’s 1-0 victory on Tuesday evening to level the aggregate score at 2-2. The Dynamo advanced on away goals, the first tiebreaker considered following a tie in the aggregate score.

The second leg is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12 in Columbus and the kickoff time for that match is 5 p.m. CT. The winner of this series will advance to face the winner of the Round of 16 series between Orlando City SC and Tigres UANL from Mexico.

Houston returns to league play at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 2 when they host the New York Red Bulls at Shell Energy Stadium. Tickets for all Dynamo home matches are available on SeatGeek, the official ticketing partner of the club.
