February 20, 2024 – United Soccer League Championship (USL) – Sacramento Republic FC News Release
With the start of the 2024 USL Championship season just 18 days away Republic FC and Raising Cane’s are calling on fans and community members to join in the club’s annual week of service to the region. Beginning March 4, the club will host a different volunteer project leading up to the team’s season opener on March 9. Together, volunteer groups comprised of Republic FC players, coaches, employees from Raising Cane’s and the club’s front office – as well as fans and partners – will complete over 100 hours of community service.
Every season, the club focuses on finding ways to support and uplift those in need and through this week of service extends its impact with additional support and people power from fans. As a thank you, all volunteers will receive two free tickets to the club’s season opener, as well as a team swag bag. Fans can sign-up for a shift today at SacRepublicFC.com/Community. Opportunities are expected to fill up quickly. Last year, the club and fans teamed up to complete over 300 hours of service projects.
“This community continues to show up and support our club every season, and we look forward to showing our gratitude each year during this week of service,” said Republic FC Vice President of Community Investment Scott Moak. “There are so many dedicated individuals and organizations working tirelessly to make our region stronger every day, and we’re looking forward to lending a helping hand to support their service to others.”
“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Republic FC to give back to local non-profits and the communities they support,” said Chris Zygler, Raising Cane’s Regional Leader of Restaurants. “Being involved in our community is at the heart of who we are as a company and what better way to do that than to bring people together for this week of service.”
