ST. PETERSBURG, Fla – The Tampa Bay Rowdies unveiled today the club’s primary kit for the upcoming 2024 USL Championship season. For the first time since 2014, the Rowdies will wear the classic green and yellow hoop sleeves that have been inextricably linked to the club since the inaugural season in 1975.

The 2024 Primary Kit is now available for purchase on TheBayRepublic.com. Rowdies season ticket members will have the opportunity to buy the new kit at Saturday’s exclusive preseason matchup versus CF Montreal at Al Lang Stadium for $50. This special pricing is only available in person at Saturday’s match.

“We know our fans have been calling for the hoop sleeves to make their return for quite a long time, so we’re pleased to finally be able to bring that to fruition,” said Rowdies President Ryan Helfrick. “It’s an exciting day for us as an organization. Along with being one of the most iconic and recognizable kits in the history of North American soccer, the Rowdies hoop sleeves are an important symbol for everyone who has followed this club throughout the years. So many of our fans have a story or special memory associated with these hoops. Whether that connection stems from the 70s or the modern era, it’s all one legacy that we’re proud to carry on.”

Tampa Bay’s current longest-tenured player Leo Fernandes will be donning the classic Rowdies hoops sleeves for the first time in his tenure. Fernandes was joined by Rowdies legends Mike Connell and Keith Savage for this year’s kit reveal video. Connell and Savage both helped guide the Rowdies to a championship, Connell in 1975 and Savage in 2012. As the two icons remind Fernandes in the video, the Rowdies won both championships while wearing the hoop sleeves.

Connell and Savage are members of the Rowdies 75/10 Club, which recognizes players, technical staff, and executive staff from each era of the team’s history who have made a significant impact on both the Rowdies on the field and in the community.

Longtime Rowdies partner DEX Imaging returns as front-of-kit partner for the second straight season. DEX Imaging is the largest independent provider of document imaging and data management solutions in the United States.
