Evans Earns U20 Call - Stanford University Athletics

STANFORD, Calif. – With a sophomore season that saw her garner All-America recognition and help lead Stanford to a College Cup Final appearance in the rearview mirror, Elise Evans has been selected to represent the U.S. Under-20 Women’s Youth National Team for a pair of upcoming matches.

The 20-player squad, led by U.S. head coach Tracey Kevins, will travel to Bogotá, Colombia for a training camp from Feb. 18-28 that will feature two matches against the Colombia U-20 WNT, the hosts of the 2024 Under-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The USA will face Colombia twice in Bogotá during the trip, on Sunday, Feb. 25 at Estadio El Campín, the main soccer stadium in Colombia’s capital, and on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Estadio de Techo, a smaller venue.

The event will serve as excellent preparation for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, which will take place from August 31 to September 22, 2024 and will feature players born on or after Jan. 1, 2004.

Twelve players on the roster, including Evans, helped the USA qualify for the upcoming World Cup via the 2023 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship in the Dominican Republic.
