ST. PETERSBURG, Fla – The Tampa Bay Rowdies announced today that the club has reached a transfer agreement to send wingback Conner Antley to Major League Soccer’s DC United, pending league and federation approval. Per club policy, the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“We are disappointed to lose a player who has done so well in his time with the club, but it is nice to see Conner earn this chance with DC United,” said Rowdies Head Coach Robbie Neilson. “As a club, we’re happy for Conner and proud to show that the Rowdies provide a good environment for players to come and progress their careers and grow as individuals. I’m sure our supporters are grateful for Conner’s contributions to the Rowdies over the years and join us in wishing him well in DC.”

Antley has been a mainstay for the Green & Gold over the past three seasons, appearing in 102 matches across all competitions during his tenure. The 28-year-old joined the Rowdies in 2021 and played a pivotal role in the squad finishing as the top team in the regular season standings that year with a club-record 71 points before going on to capture the Eastern Conference title.

“The Rowdies have meant everything to me for the past three seasons,” said Antley. “They have been more than just a great club for me and my family, but truly a place we were blessed enough to call home. I want to thank all my teammates and coaches I’ve had in my time with the Rowdies. You are all the reason I have been given this opportunity to take the next step in my career. I wouldn’t trade these last three years in Green & Gold for anything. The Rowdies will always feel like family to me.”

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Antley made his professional debut with South Georgia Tormenta FC in 2018 and excelled for the USL League One outfit, claiming the league Defender of the Year award in his second season. After one season at Indy Eleven in 2020, Antley made the move to Tampa Bay, where he notched 12 assists from the right flank of the Rowdies attack.
