LOS ANGELES – Angel City Football Club (ACFC) confirmed today that forward Jun Endo suffered a left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during the club’s preseason training camp in Melbourne, Florida. Endo, who has been with the club since its 2022 inaugural season, will be placed on the season-ending injury (SEI) list.

“Jun is a one-of-a-kind player and teammate,” said ACFC Head Coach Becki Tweed. “You never want to see this happen to anyone. Jun has shown up every day of preseason with so much joy, and having her season end before it could truly begin is devastating. I know I speak on behalf of our team, club, and community when I say we are fully behind Jun and her road to recovery.”

Endo has appeared in 47 matches in all competitions with Angel City, earning four goals and six assists. In the club’s inaugural match on April 29, 2022 against the North Carolina Courage, Endo scored the second goal in club history in the 13th minute to help ACFC win their first NWSL regular-season match as an expansion team.
