Men’s Soccer Announces 2024 Spring Schedule

PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh men’s soccer head coach Jay Vidovich announced the Panthers’ 2024 spring schedule on Wednesday afternoon, with six games scheduled from February to April, including four in Pittsburgh.

Pitt will open spring play this Saturday, Feb. 24 at Highmark Stadium as they take on local United Soccer League Opponent Pittsburgh Riverhounds at 4:00 pm. The match will serve as a preseason contest for the Riverhounds and admission to the game is free.

The Panthers will then welcome the Vaughn Soccer Club (Canada) to Ambrose Urbanic Field on Friday, Mar. 8 at 6:00 pm. Pitt hits the road for the first time in the spring on Saturday, Mar. 23 as they travel to Durham, NC to battle Duke at 12:30 pm.

Pitt returns to Pittsburgh for their next two matches as they play host to ACC foe Virginia on Saturday, Mar. 30 at 11:00 am at Ambrose Urbanic Field before taking on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday, Apr. 6 at 12:00 pm at Highmark Stadium.

The Panthers will conclude their spring slate at the Spring Soccer Cup final in Winston-Salem on Sunday, Apr. 14. The finals matches at Spry Stadium will be determined with the 10 programs being seeded after results from their three leagues matches (DukeVirginia, Wake Forest). Shuffling amongst the seeds can be done if a repeat opponent is scheduled.

All four matches being played in Pittsburgh, either at Ambrose Urbanic Field or Highmark Stadium, will be free admission to the public.

Pitt returns 20 student-athletes for the 2024 campaign after they earned their fifth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament last season.
