LOS ANGELES – Angel City Football Club (ACFC) today announced a new partnership with Justworks, a HR technology platform leveling the playing field for small businesses by providing access to payroll, benefits, HR tools, and compliance support- all in one place. Justworks joins as a founding level partner and the club’s official payroll, HR compliance, and HR benefits sponsor.

Justworks recognizes ACFC as a platform that transcends sports, providing a unique opportunity to reach and empower entrepreneurs and business owners not only in Los Angeles, but across the nation. This alignment goes beyond the field and resonates with both organizations’ commitment to creating a positive impact in their respective communities.

Under the Angel City 10% Model, where 10% of each sponsorship is reallocated back into the community, ACFC and Justworks will collaborate- through Angel City’s Player 22 Program- to provide grants and support to current and former professional women’s soccer players who aspire to grow or launch their own businesses. This initiative underscores the commitment of both organizations to empower former athletes and future entrepreneurs to help them grow their businesses with confidence.

The partnership will also involve numerous community-focused initiatives, including:

Small Business Training Camp: A program designed to equip individuals with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in the business world.

Community Workshops: Engaging sessions that promote learning and collaboration within the community.

Content Series: A social media content series focused on amplifying Los Angeles business owners in their entrepreneurial journeys.

“ACFC is delighted to welcome Justworks into the ACFC family and looks forward to the positive impact this partnership will have on our community,” said Julie Uhrman, Co-Founder and President of ACFC. “With the additional programming and opportunities around this particular partnership, we are going to be helping aspiring entrepreneurs as well as supporting our incredible Player 22 Future Program.”

“At Justworks, we envision a world where starting and running a business is accessible for all,” says Lauren Yildirim, VP and chief of staff at Justworks. “There’s a lot of alignment between our mission and ACFC’s ongoing commitment to equity, access, and leveling the playing field for women in sports and business.
