Mason Greenwood has immersed himself in Spanish life after six months on loan at Getafe to the extent that his entire family is learning the language, according to a new report from Spain. 

The Manchester United loanee moved to the LaLiga side at the tail end of the summer transfer window after it was decided that the academy graduate should continue his career away from the club. 

The decision was announced following an internal investigation into the player’s conduct by the club was concluded in August, after criminal allegations against Greenwood for attempted rape, assault, and coercive control were dropped by CPS. 

The winger has denied all charges. 

Since his move to Spain, Greenwood has begun regaining his form after 18 months spent on the sidelines, and has helped spur the club to its tenth-place standing.

As per AS, the 22-year-old has also felt the benefits off the pitch, and has settled quickly after moving into a home in Boadilla del Monte, an upmarket municipality 30 kilometres from the centre of Madrid. 

Greenwood is thought to live with his partner, their daughter, and his father Andrew, with his mother Melanie still based in England – although she is said to visit the country regularly. 

The winger is said to ‘love’ living in Spain, valuing the quality of the food and the friendliness of the people, and all of his family are reportedly taking Spanish-language lessons with a tutor who comes to the house.
