HIGH POINT, N.C. – Carolina Core FC today announced that the club has signed forward Papa Ndoye to a contract for the 2024 season.

Ndoye, 24, joins the club after spending the previous season with the Houston Dynamo 2. The Senegal native looks to continue his development with Carolina Core FC in its inaugural season.

“Papa comes to Carolina Core FC after a dominant season last year in MLS NEXT Pro, scoring 14 goals from the wing position,” said Head Coach Roy Lassiter. “He is a powerful striker that likes to take on players and looks for opportunities to score.”

The Senegalese forward joins the club with high-level experience. During his time with Dynamo 2, Ndoye netted 19 goals and four assists over two seasons. Throughout his time with the club, the striker made 46 appearances, starting in 39 of them. This past season, Ndoye was named MLS NEXT Pro Player of Matchday 19 and 20, scoring hattricks in back-to-back matches to lead his team to two comeback victories.

“We are eager to help Papa get to his next level and confident that we can help him in his pursuit. The Core looks forward to his contribution and what he will bring to the team,” remarked Lassiter.
