Houston Dash Announce 2023 Preseason Roster

HOUSTON – The Houston Dash have announced the initial preseason roster ahead of the start of training camp, which will begin later today at Houston Sports Park.

Twenty players who represented Houston last season are set to return for the 2024 campaign including Maria Sánchez who re-signed with the Dash at the end of the 2023 regular season and Jane Campbell who was awarded 2023 NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year.


The Dash will have defender Allysha Chapman and forward Ryan Gareis start the year on maternity leave and with neither counting toward the roster. Forward Paulina Gramaglia will remain on loan Red Bull Bragantino in Brazil through the 2024 regular season and does not count toward the roster.

Leading up to the regular season opener on Saturday, March 16 against the Courage, Houston will travel to train in Tucson, Ariz. and the IMG Academy in Florida. The Dash will head west to The Grand Canyon state from Feb. 3 to Feb. 12 to face Racing Louisville FC in a closed door friendly and will also face the University of Arizona on Feb. 11.

Back in Houston, the Dash will host a pair of closed-door friendlies against the Costa Rican Women’s National team on Feb. 16 and the University of Texas on Feb. 24 at Houston Sports Park.

Houston will close out February and train into March on the East Coast in Bradenton, Florida with a pair of closed-door friendlies against the Washington Spirit and Kansas City Current.

A full list of Houston’s initial preseason roster is available below, listed by position and alphabetical order. Additional updates to the roster will be provided and updated throughout preseason.
