Outlaws Fall to Savage in Chihuahua

MESQUITE, Texas – Texas Outlaws won 8-6 against the Milwaukee Wave at the Mesquite Arena in Mesquite, Texas. The Outlaws are now 8-3-1 and the Wave are 8-4-1.

The game in Mesquite started with an early goal in the 2nd minute for the Wave, scored by Cesar Correa, unassisted. The rest of the first quarter was filled with a lot of fouls and shots. The Wave outshooting the Outlaws in the first quarter 7-2. In between the quarters, Wave player Ricardo Carvalho was issued a yellow card for dissent. In the first 40 seconds of the second quarter, Ian Bennett scored for the Wave, putting them up by 2. In the 3rd minute, Cesar Correa was issued a blue card for tripping. In the 9th minute, Sebastian Mendez scored for the Outlaws, assisted by David Ortiz. In the final 30 seconds of the half, Tony Walls for the Wave was issued a blue card for holding. Outlaws down 2-1 at the half.


In the 3rd quarter, Sebastian Mendez scored his second goal of the night for the Outlaws, assisted by goalkeeper Eduardo “Pollo” Cortes, tying the game at 2. In the 10th minute, Vini Dantas scored for the Outlaws, giving them the lead. A minute later, Dantas scored his second goal. In the 11th minute, David Ortiz was issued a blue card for tripping. In the 12th minute, Tony Walls was issued another blue card for tripping. 2 seconds after the penalty, Dantas scored his hattrick goal of the game. In the 13th minute, Derek Huffman scored for the Wave, assisted by Ian Bennett. In the final 30 seconds of the third quarter, Luiz Morales scored for the Outlaws. Outlaws up 6-3 going into the final quarter. In the fourth quarter, Milwaukee alternated between the sixth attacker and their goalkeeper, William Banahene. In the 4th minute, the Wave were issued a blue card for too many men on the field. In the 9th minute, Ian Bennett scored during the extra attacker, score now 6-4. In the 10th minute, the Wave scored again with an extra attacker goal, scored by Alex Sanchez. In the 11th minute, Jorde Deleon scored for the Outlaws, assisted by David Ortiz. In the 13th minute, David Ortiz scored an empty netter, putting the Outlaws at 8. Derek Huffman scored another goal for the Wave in the final 30 seconds during an extra attacker. Outlaws winning 8-6.

The Texas Outlaws will be taking on the Dallas Sidekicks for Texas/Red Out game on January 28th at Mesquite Arena. Kick off for the game is 3:00 pm CT. Tickets for Outlaws…
