MADISON, WI: Forward Madison FC has published its full 2023 Community Impact Report after summarizing it at the Town Hall on January, 24th. Last season, the club impacted over 80 local community organizations and raised over $30,000 for various community initiatives, including Outreach LGBTQ+ Community Center, Clean Wisconsin, and The Disabled American Vertains Wisconsin Chapter. In addition, Forward Madison partners raised over $13,000 for the Flock Soccer Foundation through co-branded items such as coffee, yogurt, and wine.
Along with monetary donations, the club also donated more than $56,000 worth of tickets to various organizations across the state of Wisconsin and raised over $11,000 through ticket drives for various nonprofit organizations and youth soccer clubs.
The club hosted/participated in a variety of community events in 2023, including the Special Olympics Polar Plunge, Stuff the Truck presented by Gorilla Movers, Trek Pride Ride, and Dia de Futbol presented by Madison Gas and Electric.
In efforts to grow soccer in the community, Forward Madison hosted about 600 campers at half-day camps, free community clinics, and Eintracht Frankfurt camps. 2023 marked the launch of the Forward Futures program, which included 60 participants through local area clubs, schools, and coaches. The Special Olympics Unified Series returned for the season, with the Unified athletes competing in three games and having their own press conference and signing day to kick off the season.
Forward for a Cause was first launched in 2023 in partnership with Exact Sciences as a way to encapsulate all volunteer appearances made by players, coaching staff, and front office members. As a part of Forward for a Cause, the players made over 135 appearances at local organizations and events.
