Memphis 901 FC Signs Midfielder Bruno Lapa to Multi-Year Contract

Memphis, Tenn. – Memphis 901 FC announced Monday the club’s full 2024 preseason schedule ahead of the club’s sixth season in the USL Championship.

“We have a very good preseason schedule that will allow us to play against high quality opposition while still providing opportunities for universities in our community to play against the city’s professional team,” Assistant Sporting Director Caleb Patterson-Sewell said. “We are excited to build on last year through the preseason and look forward to seeing the boys progress over the next few weeks.”


The Beale Street Boys open the preseason friendlies on Saturday, Feb. 3 against Atlanta United in a rematch of the 2023 U.S. Open Cup Third Round, when the club earned its first victory over an MLS club in an extra-time thriller. The clubs will showdown at Turner Soccer Complex in Athens, Ga. at 2 p.m. CT. The club also travels to Nashville SC for a second MLS friendly on Thursday, Feb. 15.

901 FC will face the University of Memphis and Christian Brothers University on their respective campuses in two hometown friendlies. Both collegiate matches will be open to the public with kickoff times to be announced.

Memphis opens the 2024 regular season at AutoZone Park on March 9 as they host Las Vegas Lights FC.

Feb. 10 – at Christian Brothers University

Feb. 15 – at Nashville SC

Feb. 24 – at University of Memphis

March 2 – at St. Louis CITY SC II
