Inter Miami CF continued its 2024 preseason by facing FC Dallas on a rainy evening at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas’ Fair Park. The matchup saw the teams play out a close game which resulted in a narrow 1-0 win for FC Dallas.

Lineup Notes

Inter Miami fielded a starting XI with three changes from the team’s lineup for its 2024 preseason opener against El Salvador. Drake Callender returned from USMNT duty and started in goal; Jordi Alba, Noah Allen, Sergii Kryvtsov, Tomás Avilés, and DeAndre Yedlin, formed a backline of five; David Ruiz, Sergio Busquets and Julian Gressel started in midfield; captain Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez led the team’s attack.

Match Action

The first half presented an even matchup with opportunities for both sides, but it was the hosts that opened the scoring early on in the third minute through a Jesus Ferreira strike.

The second half saw several different Inter Miami players enter the pitch throughout the second 45 minutes of action: Chris McVey, Robert Taylor, Nicolás Stefanelli, Gregore, Leonardo Campana, Lawson Sunderland, Ryan Sailor and Israel Boatwright.

Next Match

Inter Miami will now head to Asia to carry on with 2024 preseason action, with the team set to make its first stop in Riyadh to face Al-Hilal on Monday, Jan. 29 in the team’s next fixture. After facing Al Hilal, the team will then play one more match in the capital of Saudi Arabia, taking on Al Nassr before visiting Hong Kong and Tokyo, and returning to South Florida to close out the Club’s historic preseason.
