Blue Devils to Play in 2024 Spring Soccer Cup

DURHAM – The format for the 2024 Spring Soccer Cup has been announced, with the finals hosted by Wake Forest on April 14 at Spry Stadium in Winston-Salem. The Blue Devils are one of 10 teams in the field alongside Clemson, Georgetown, Maryland, NC State, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. Across the last five seasons, the field has combined for 38 NCAA Tournament appearances, 13 regular-season conference titles, eight College Cup berths, five conference tournament titles and three NCAA Championships.

Throughout the event, three points will be awarded for a win in regulation. If matches remain tied after 90 minutes, the opponents will go directly into penalty kicks with the winning team earning two points and the losing side being awarded one point.

Each team will play three league matches during March and April ahead of the finals, with the finals in Winston-Salem determined with the 10 programs being seeded. Shuffling amongst the seeds can be done if a repeat opponent is scheduled.

The tentative schedule for the finals is as follows:

  • Match 1: Spry Soccer Stadium (12 p.m.)
  • Match 2: Spry Training Field 2 (12 p.m.)
  • Match 3: Spry Training Field 1 (2:15 p.m.)
  • Match 4: Spry Soccer Stadium (4:30 p.m.)
  • Match 5: Spry Training Field 2 (4:30 p.m.)

Tickets for the event are available for purchase through Wake Forest here, with all seating general admission.
