Miami FC Completes Record-Breaking Tryout Weekend; Club Eyes Preseason as Training Camp Nears

Miami, FL. –
The Miami Football Club announced today the signings of Giovanni Troise as Assistant Coach and Massimo Borlina for Head of Sports Performance. The pair will assist Head Coach Antonio Nocerino heading into the 2024 season.


Troise recently received his UEFA B coaching license and previously worked as a match analyst with SICS Sport. He has had experience working with Antonio Nocerino at Italian club Potenza Calcio. Troise has also worked at Puteolana 1902 and Pianura Calcio. Studying at Università degli Studi Giustino Fortunato, Troise majored in Business and Managerial Economics while also receiving his Technical and Professional Institute Diploma.

Massimo Borlina enters from the University of Pittsburgh where he was the Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Coach fellow. He was at Pittsburgh for a year and has experience coaching at Purdue University and Gardner-Webb University. Borlina received his bachelor’s degree from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano in Motor and Sport Sciences, as well as a Master of Science in Strength and Conditioning from Gardner-Webb University. Borlina played at both universities while pursuing his education.

Miami FC will also be re-signing Goalkeeper Coach Giuseppe Weller who will be starting his fourth season with the club.
