GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. – Minnesota United announced today that the club has signed New England Revolution II forward Jordan Adebayo-Smith to a three-year contract, with a club option for 2027. Prior to signing Adebayo-Smith, MNUFC traded $125,000 in 2024 General Allocation Money (GAM) to the New England Revolution, and in exchange, acquired his Affiliate Priority Player Rights. New England could receive up to $50,000 in additional GAM if certain performance-based conditions are met.


Adebayo-Smith joins Minnesota United after playing 30 games for New England Revolution II of MLS NEXT Pro during the 2023 campaign, where the 22-year-old forward scored 12 goals and provided six assists in almost 2,400 minutes played for Revs II this past season.

Prior to his time in New England, Adebayo-Smith featured for the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the USL Championship, which had loaned the forward to the New York Red Bulls II in 2022. In New York, he logged over 2,400 minutes and netted seven goals while providing three assists across 33 appearances. Adebayo-Smith scored four goals and recorded one assist with the Rowdies in 2021.

Eligible to represent the United States, Nigeria, and England at the international level, the East London native developed at East Soccer Base in South East London before joining Lincoln City Football Club in 2018.
