Sidekicks Outscored in Allen, Lose 2-5

Sidekicks Fall to Strykers on Second Match of Weekend Doubleheader

Allen, Texas – The Dallas Sidekicks played their second game of the weekend on Sunday afternoon against the Texas Outlaws. This was the second the Outlaws met in Allen and third time the teams have met this season.


Neither side scored in the first quarter. However, the Sidekicks had 4 shots on goal with the Outlaws only having two shots.

The game saw its first goal in the second quarter by Outlaws player, Jorge Deleon in the sixth minute. Four minutes later, Outlaws player, Erik Macias, added another one to the Outlaws score board. Three minutes later, the Sidekicks responded with a goal by Gustavo Piedra. At haftime, the score was 1-2.

Unlike previous Sidekicks games, the Sidekicks kept together defensively allowing only one Outlaws goal by Luiz Morales in the 11th minute. The Outlaws scored early in the fourth quarter with a goal by Vini Dantas at 3:01. The Sidekicks quickly responded back with a goal by Colin O’Keefe. Three minutes later, Vini Dantas scored his second of the game. The final score was 2-5.
