Juventus could reportedly offer Jordan Henderson a route out of Saudi Arabia amid suggestions the former Liverpool midfielder is unhappy there.

The Italian club are looking for reinforcements in that area and Al-Ettifaq and England player Henderson, 33, is apparently an option being looked at.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus are only willing to take Henderson on a loan deal until the end of the season. The player is reportedly seeking an 18-month deal.

Newspaper Corriere dello Sport also led with the story in Saturday’s edition.

Negotiations are continuing and a compromise could yet be found over a player who has also been linked with Ajax.

Mail Sport reported last week that Henderson could be ready to quit his lucrative contract in Saudi Arabia and return to European football after just six months there.

According to reports, Henderson earns between £500,000 and £700,000-a-week in the Middle-East but has become disenchanted with playing there.

A special report by Mail Sport’s Mike Keegan laid bare the bleak realities of being a former Premier League football in Saudi Arabia with brutal temperatures, low attendances and issues with families adapting to the culture.

Henderson and his family have been residing in Bahrain, which is a more liberal country than Saudi Arabia.
