KANSAS CITY (Jan. 11, 2024) – The Kansas City Current will be featured prominently throughout the 2024 Visit KC visitor’s guide. KC’s Official Visitors Guide is the place to find insider tips, local favorites and information on what’s happening in the Kansas City metro. The front cover will display Current midfielders Lo’eau LaBonta and Hailie Mace amidst the teal seats within CPKC Stadium. The digital edition will be available starting today.


“We are thrilled for the Current to be the first thing visitors see when they are looking for top things to do in Kansas City,” said Vice President of Marketing Jocelyn Monroe. “You can’t come to Kansas City without visiting CPKC Stadium and watching a Current match in 2024. Seeing the first stadium purpose-built for a women’s professional sports team and witnessing a brand of entertaining and exciting soccer will be an opportunity that people and fans won’t want to miss.”

Within the 2024 edition of the Visit KC Visitor’s Guide readers will also get to know the players on the roster such as Debinha, LaBonta, Michelle Cooper and Mace. It will also feature stadium restaurant partner Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que, the stadium’s official chef partners Megan and Colby Garrelt’s of Rye KC, construction partners JE Dunn and Monarch Build and the stadium’s engineering group Generator Studio.

With such an historic year ahead for the Kansas City Current as well as the city, Visit KC chose to feature the Current and players in their new home to introduce the team and stadium to visitors as well as Kansas Citians who will have the opportunity to visit the first women’s sports stadium in the world. With Kansas City and CPKC Stadium listed among the Wall Street Journal’s Best 10 Places to Travel in 2024, Travel + Leisure’s 50 Best Places to Travel in 2024 and Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2024, the monumental development is already strengthening the city’s reputation as a top-tier travel destination. Over 150,000 copies of the Visitors Guide are expected to be printed and distributed throughout the year.

Fans can find the print edition on display in multiple prominent locations within the KC Convention Center, area hotels, at the Kansas City International Airport and in visitor centers throughout Missouri and Kansas. The digital edition, which is available today to the public, is also accessible across the country and internationally.
