Rader, Martinho Receive U.S. Soccer U-20 Call for Training Camp

DURHAM – Duke women’s soccer’s Kat Rader and Lauren Martinho were two of 24 players receiving training camp invitations for the U.S. Under-20 Women’s Youth National Team first training of 2024, which will take place Jan. 15-22 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif.

The camp marks the first steps toward the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, to be held in Colombia in September, for which the USA qualified last June at the Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship in the Dominican Republic.

Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2004, are age-eligible for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Both Rader and Martinho feature extensive experience representing the United States over their careers.  Rader, a native of Stuart, Fla., was a member of the U-20 National Team for the 2022 World Cup and this past summer she competed in the Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship.  Martinho, who hails from Cary, N.C., recently saw action at the 2023 Pan American Games with the U-19 squad and played with Rader at the U-20 Concacaf in June of 2023.
