Much speculation has been rising over Arsenal‘s interest in Fenerbahce’s Ferdi Kadioglu in recent months, with the Gunners thin in the ranks at the back.

The left back, who was born in Arnhem in the Netherlands, joined the Turkish Super Lig club back in 2018 and has gone on to return an impressive 16 goals and 20 assists in 172 games across all competitions for the Super Lig outfit.

And his fine vein of form has reportedly attracted the attention of the Gunners with several outlets claiming that Mikel Arteta‘s side have been keeping tabs on him.

Back in November, it was claimed by Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, journalist at Turkish outlet Sports Digitale, that Arsenal scouts had been watching the player and ‘given a positive report’ on him.

But this week, more speculation has risen online and on social media, with a video re-emerging on X (formerly Twitter) that has got many Arsenal fans talking.

The video shows the 24-year-old in action for his club side, producing a stunning bicycle kick during their Turkish Cup semi-finals match against Sivasspor last season.

After a goalless first half, Kadioglu would rise high into the air and belt the ball over his head into the back of the Sivasspor net to put the home side up.

They would go on to win the match 3-0 securing a berth in the final which they went on to win 2-0 against Basaksehir, but fans online have been marvelling at his sublime goal, with some Arsenal fans claiming that they should snap him up.

One wrote: ‘This guy is a full back yet he moves like Messi. Ferdi Kadioglu to Arsenal. Who says no?’

‘Very intriguing player, to say the least…’ another added.
