RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce the re-signing of veteran forward Ryan Sierakowski, pending league and federation approval.

Sierakowski is set to continue his time with the Roos after originally signing with the club on June 12, 2023. He went on to start 13 of 18 matches while playing 1,263 minutes.

The McHenry, Ill. native finished tied for fourth on the team with three goals scored while placing nearly 58 percent of his shots on target. Sierakowski proved his versatility as a goalscorer, netting goals with both of his feet and his head.

Sierakowski’s experience in USL League One runs deep. He made league history on July 15, 2023, when he scored his first-ever Kickers’ goal against Greenville Triumph SC, making him the first player to register a goal with four different USL League One clubs.

Before joining the Kickers, Sierakowski played with South Georgia Tormenta FC during Spring 2023 on a temporary contract after he was a member of their 2022 USL League One Championship-winning team. He played with New England Revolution II during the 2021 season – the club’s last in the league – before going on loan to rivals Forward Madison FC in the second half of that season.

Sierakowski’s experience also includes multiple seasons in the USL Championship with MLS organizations. After he was drafted by Portland Timbers with the 23rd overall pick, he signed with Timbers 2 ahead of the 2019 season. In his rookie season, he started 24 of 33 matches, created 29 chances, provided two assists, and finished the season as the second-highest goal scorer on the team with eight goals.

He then joined Real Salt Lake’s USL Championship affiliate Real Monarchs, appearing in 14 games with one goal scored during the COVID-shortened 2020 season.

Ryan Sierakowski said:

“I am excited to be a part of the squad and community for a full season. I had a fantastic experience after joining the team mid-season last year, and I am looking forward to a full year of playing at City Stadium and with the team. My message to the supporters is your energy and support are a huge part of my decision to come back, and you should get ready for an exciting new season! Excited to see everyone back at City Stadium in March.”
