The 2023/24 FA Cup third round will be spread over five days, with three fixtures taking place on Friday night.

The big boys have entered proceedings and there’s still plenty of scope for magic with the draw throwing up an array of cup ties laden with intrigue.

These two sides met just after Christmas and it was Gary O’Neil’s Wolves who walked away with an emphatic three points.

The visitors thumped four past the sliding Bees, who desperately need to enjoy a change in fortunes at the start of the new year.

Brentford are out for revenge, but their recent FA Cup record is pretty grim. Only once have they progressed beyond the fourth round since 2007.

The Cottagers have already progressed into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup and a two-legged tie with Liverpool awaits, the first of which will be played on Wednesday.

Rotherham could do with a cup run to liven spirits. They currently sit at the foot of the Championship and relegation is staring them in the face once more. On a brighter note, they are unbeaten in three games. Whoop whoop.
